As a Realtor who has worked with many families, it is always humbling to consider what it means to help them find the home of their dreams. After all, it is within a home that the bonds of family are forged, the
values of principals and ethics are instilled and the memories of a lifetime are sustained. A writer once said that there is no nicer word than “home,” and it was Confucius who asserted that the strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home. For myself, and many of my colleagues, our greatest source of pride derives from the ability to help families. And with that in mind, I’m compelled to help bring attention to an institution in Naples that has been so instrumental in helping families and adding both to the strength and well being of our community.
The David Lawrence Center is a not-for-profit, leading provider of behavioral health solutions dedicated to inspiring and creating life-changing wellness for every individual. This all began more than 50 years ago with a group of motivated benefactors who resolved to deliver a greater range of mental health services to citizens of Collier County. For decades now, the David Lawrence Center has provided innovative, comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, residential and community-based prevention and treatment services for children and adults who experience mental health, emotional, psychological and substance abuse challenges. Our region is so blessed to have these services made available, and as a volunteer and supporter of the work from this organization, I’ve personally witnessed the beneficial impact the organization has made on families.
Out of appreciation for the staff, families and friends of the David Lawrence Center, I’ve developed a program that is not only aimed at helping those who may want to buy or sell a home, but also benefits the DLC directly. For those who are affiliated with DLC, either as a staff member, supporter or client, I’m offering both an incentive as well as a portion of every commission back to the organization. I do hope this will help further the mission of the organization, yet I also want to help those who have been so committed to helping others in need.
